Lake Norman extends about 520 miles of shoreline that extend into 4 different counties. Our location is well positioned with easy access to major cities, airports and interstates, but without the hectic lifestyle of the city environment. Well paying jobs are abundant in a wide variety of fields and are within a reasonable commute. Many people have discovered that Lake Norman is a great place to live and work.
Lake Norman is a manmade lake that was created in 1967 by Duke Power. It was named for the former president of Duke Power, Norman Atwater Cocke. Our lake is the largest body of fresh water in NC. Public water access areas and parks are available for everyone to enjoy the lake year round.
